Music Lessons for Young Children

Their First Guitar, Sized for Them

A full-size guitar is too big, too heavy, and too frustrating for small hands, so we start young children on 3-string guitars, built specifically for ages 4–6. It's the difference between a kid who quits in week two and a kid who can't wait for the next lesson.

We recently showed a mom one of our 3-string guitars for her daughter, and the look on both their faces said everything: the instrument fits, the lesson fits, and music stops feeling like something to grow into someday and starts being something they can do right now.

What Makes It Different

  • Right-sized instruments (3-string guitars), not a shrunk-down adult approach.
  • Lessons built around a 4–6-year-old's actual attention span.
  • A gentle on-ramp into private lessons: many students move on to full guitar, or explore piano, drums, or voice next.

Also Worth Knowing

3-string guitar isn't the only way to start young: some kids take to piano, drums, or voice first. If you're not sure which is the right fit, reach out and we'll help you figure it out before you book.

"A great experience for my grandson, who is learning guitar from experienced and professional musicians. They care about kids as much as they care about music!"
